Kubota BX Series 16.6HP – 24.8HP

The Kubota BX Series sub-compact tractors come in four models ranging in horsepower from 16.6 HP – 24.8 HP.

The Kubota BX2380 is a popular model that offers slightly more horsepower than the BX1880. All Kubota BX Series tractors have a lift capacity of 680 lbs. and an optional open canopy or heated cab to keep out the elements. The Kubota BX2680 offers more power at 24.8 HP and 19.5 PTO HP. With the extra horsepower, the Kubota BX2680 is a better choice if your property is hilly or if you plan to use a lot of attachments like the optional tiller, rotary cutter, or snow blade. All models fit 48”–60” under-mount mower decks.

Upgrade to the Kubota BX23S if you plan to do a lot of dirt work or trenching. The BX23S stands out from the other tractors in the BX Series with its optional backhoe attachment.

The Kubota L2501 is a popular compact tractor with 24.8 engine HP and 20.8 PTO HP. The L2501 has a lift capacity of 1,082-1,431 lbs. or roughly 35 concrete blocks. It is an excellent introduction to compact tractors, enabling you to use many utility attachments. The options are endless with 48”–84” rotary cutters, backhoe buckets up to 24”, bale spears, pallet forks, snow removal blades, and more. There’s not much you can’t tackle with the Kubota L2501. Kubota Grand L Series 37 HP+

The Kubota Grand L Series compact tractor has eight models including two limited-edition options. However, the Kubota L3560 and L3560 Limited Edition are the only models under 40 HP. 

The Kubota L3560 boasts 37 engine HP and 29.5 PTO HP. The L3560 also offers the largest lift capacity among the Kubota models reviewed under 40 HP at 1,784 lbs. The Grand L2560 also has an open canopy or dealer-installed cab option for a more comfortable workday. This tractor adds even more capabilities to the lineup, adding the options of a 64” snowblower and 72” front flail mower to name a few. The Kubota L3560 is best for small farms or mid to large-sized acreage owners with big projects to tackle that cover a variety of disciplines.
