About Price-Spracklen Auction Group, LLC
Price-Spracklen Auction Group is a family-owned and operated auction company headquartered in Pana, IL. The company was founded in 1927 as Price Auction by the late Malcolm Price, and was run by Malcolm’s son Gordon Price until his passing in 2013. Today, Price-Spracklen Auction is run by fourth and fifth generation family members who are furthering the family business by keeping the company at the forefront of advancements in the auction industry. Price-Spracklen Auction Group specializes in farm equipment auctions, livestock and farmland auctions, estate auctions, real estate auctions, and more.
Gordon Price’s daughter, Carol Spracklen, worked for her father’s company for over 20 years in every aspect of the auction business. She also owns her own business, Carol and Company, and is a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker. Carol is a third generation auctioneer, graduating from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in 2008. Carol Spracklen is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Illinois Association of Realtors, the Central Illinois Board of Realtors, and the Illinois State Auctioneers Association.
Gene Price is a third generation auctioneer, and has conducted over 700 auctions over the course of his career. Gene received his auction certificate in 1978, and has facilitated real estate auctions, livestock auctions, estate auctions, machinery auctions, and benefit auctions. Gene is a member of the Illinois State Auctioneers Association, the Central Illinois Board of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the Illinois Association of Realtors.
Heath Spracklen is a fourth generation auctioneer, and conducts over 250 auctions each year. As a 1994 graduate from Missouri Auction School, Heath has provided professional auctioneer services for livestock auctions, automobile auctions, benefit auctions, and more. Heath is a 2004 World Automobile Auctioneers Championship Runner-Up, the 2007 Illinois State Auctioneer Champion, a 2008 International Auctioneer Competition Finalist, a recipient of the 2008 and 2011 World Automobile Auctioneers Championship Sportsmanship Award, a Member of the NAA, ISAA and NAF, and has served on the ISAA District 6 Board of Directors.
Nick Spracklen is a fifth generation auctioneer, and has been involved in the Price-Spracklen auction business for many years. Nick graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in 2014, and has been pursuing a career in conducting automobile auctions, livestock auctions, benefit auctions, as well as others. Nick is a 2015 graduate from Elmhurst College, the 2016 Illinois State Auctioneers Association Novice Champion, and a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the World Automobile Auctioneers Professional Association.
